STT Counselling operates on three core principals:
All people are different people.
Everyone thinks, feels, and perceives life differently. The shoe that fits one person, pinches another. It’s important that I as a counsellor approach our sessions with respect for the uniqueness of you. Counselling cannot be a one size fits all approach, and as an integrative counsellor. I adapt my approach to you. “I believe that a different therapy must be constructed for each patient because each has a unique story.” - Irvin D. Yalom
A safe Space to Talk.
Counselling can be daunting at times - “what am I going to talk about? What should I say?”. I create a space for you to feel safe to talk about anything, to feel anything, to be open and honest with me about what’s working and what isn’t. Hopefully, in each session, you will feel a sense of freedom to express what you’re thinking and feeling without fear of judgement. With empathy, congruence, and unconditional positive regard I can help you achieve your therapeutic goals.
You are the expert on yourself.
Counselling isn’t about me telling you how you should live your life. Yes, I have spent years in training and have seen many clients, but you have spent much longer becoming the expert on yourself. I approach each session with the respect for this expertise you have, and endeavour in each session to understand you in order to help guide you to the answers you already have somewhere inside you.

Hi! My name is Georgina. I grew up in Malaysia, went to Loughborough University for Sports Management, and somehow have found myself based in Australia with a career in counselling. (Don’t worry UK clients, I make the time difference work for both of us!).
I am an integrative counsellor. I have been trained extensively in Transactional Analysis, Person Centred Counselling, and Gestalt therapies. This allows me to approach my work with each client in a way that moulds to who they are rather than having a one size fits all approach.
It sounds cheesy, but I have always just wanted to make the world a better place, in whatever small way I can. This career has given me the ability to help people ease their own suffering, and hopefully introduce new perspectives and add peace and contentment into people’s day to day lives.
Outside of the counselling world, I love sport. I have represented the England Women’s Touch Rugby team and won a bronze medal at the 2024 World Cup. This experience was amazing and also incredibly challenging. The highs and lows of being on a representative sports team are intense, and it challenged me to believe in myself when no one else did. This gave me a strength that I am still processing to this day. I also do Crossfit, love travelling and going on adventures. So if I’m not in the gym, or counselling, I’m probably trying to budget my next get away!
My most profound experience was when I spent a year at an NHS funded grief counselling centre in Manchester. I saw people at their lowest having lost family members, and friends. I helped them find a way out of the low, to process the loss, and become more accepting of their grieving journey. It was incredible to see how capable we are as humans to deal with some of life’s hardest tests, and come out the other side feeling like there hope, and joy, and peace at the end of the road.
I feel so incredibly grateful to have found this career path, and seeing my clients make progress brings me the most joy and fulfilment I have ever felt. I really care about my clients, and in our time working together and beyond, I am and always will be routing for you.
